A new study published in the journal Chemosphere presents solutions to reduce the chronic toxicity of effluents from pulp mills. The results suggest activated carbon as a promising alternative to improve effluent treatment efficiency, contributing to more sustainable industrial practices.
The research was part of a doctoral thesis developed at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) and involved partnerships with the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES), the State University of Goiás (UEG), and APLYSIA Environmental Solutions.
